The roads are kept open although
chains are often needed. If hiring a car make sure that it is winter
equipped (chains, roof ski rack). There is good covered secure car parking
available 2 minutes away from the Lodge (this is free during the Summer
and Winter parking rates are shown at www.tignes.net
A43 motorway to Chambéry , then Albertville dual carriageway
from Albertville to Moûtiers
N 90 "A" road to Bourg St Maurice then
D 902 "B" road to Tignes (follow signs for Haute Tarantaise when
leaving Bourg St Maurice).

Schedules daily trains run to Bourg St Maurice railway station in
the valley. Regular bus service to Tignes from the station. Taxis are
available. Journey time (35 mins).
Eurostar: From Great Britain,
direct connection to Bourg St-Maurice by Eurostar from London and
Ashford
Le Thalys: From Rotterdam (Holland) and Brussels (Belgium), direct
connection to Bourg St-Maurice by Thalys high speed train (every saturday).

We are situated in Tignes-le-Lac in an area called Le Rosset. Follow the signs for Le Rosset and le Lac and as you come into the centre of the village you will see a sign saying:-
There is a road on the left between the Hotel Refuge and the Hotel Arbina which runs up towards the church called Montée du Rosset. We are at the top of this hill on the left.
However, this is a one way street and you are obliged to follow the one way system past the Hotel Arbina and the parade of shops. The road then bends round to the left and you take the left fork and follow the road past the Hotel Paquis (on the left), then past the school and the church (on the right) until you reach a sharp bend to the left. The Alpaka Lodge is just to your right, situated opposite the Marmottons and before the Gentiana Hotel.
We are No. 4, in orange, just above middle left, 2nd square from right, 2nd square down.
